The question “How does that make you feel?” isn’t likely a phrase you hear from your typical A+D Sales Rep, but it is at the heart of what Lisa is all about.
Lisa recently joined Summerlee with a diverse 20 years in the office interiors industry experiencing it from almost every angle. Having worked in facility management for Royal Trust, in interior design for a dealership and her own agency, marketing and sales in the furniture industry and most recently as the local representative with 3Form, Lisa knows our industry. Educated in both interior design and facility management, Lisa brings a wealth of learning, both formal and experiential, to the Summerlee team.
But that isn’t why she is so well regarded and admired in our business. Lisa seems to view our industry from a different plane and has distilled the essence of her success to a single empowering word. Trust. Earn it (trust) through thoughtful and diligent service, and don’t squander it when you have it. Focusing on this very human element of the client/supplier relationship is the magic that Lisa brings to her role as A+D Sensei (ok, that’s not her title but we may change her business cards soon) at Summerlee.
Lisa’s honed skills in the relationship side of our business are certainly influenced by some of her outside interests. Married to lawyer husband Don, and as an involved mother of two busy children, Lisa gets plenty of opportunities to practice her skills daily. Recently Lisa became an instructor in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, a discipline that focuses on synchronous breathing and movement that has helped clear her view of the world. So when she suggests that we “take a deep breath”, we know she means it…and we listen.
