Project Objectives – Furnishings
- Locate all headquarters associates in one facility and create a workspace environment that will eliminate barriers, improve cross-functional teamwork and foster collaboration
- Develop a typical universal workstation footprint based on adjustable workstation standards, using a reduced kit of parts, to maximize the future flexibility of the office environment and to adapt to the dynamics of organizational changes
- Rapid installation synchronized with a tight construction schedule, during peak retail season (the new office space is sharing the receiving docks with the retail store)
- Environmental goals to reuse existing systems furniture where logical to minimize waste and impact on environment
- Consensys system used for both private office and open office to maximize product utility and also to ensure the successful installation of approximately 1500 workstations in 48 days
- Panel height of 56”H affords seated privacy while creating an office environment conducive to open communication and teamwork
- Reduced station footprint (driven by improved workspace efficiencies through a rollout of flat screen monitors for all associates) resulted in a decrease in overall office square footage which in turn produced real estate, energy and maintenance savings
- Single source provider for new furniture, reconfiguration, and installation services created efficiencies to meet a tight relocation schedule
- Environmental goals achieved by reuse of over 300 existing workstations and meeting room furniture to avoid landfill
Solutions:
(The Consensys System used is also made of 26% post-consumer recycled content.)
